Lessons Learned

Updated: Sep 16

I decided to take a much-needed break from my travels and settle back in Florida for a bit. Reflecting on my journey, I realize it was a whirlwind of emotions. Over those three months on the road, I faced countless challenges and learned some hard, invaluable lessons. One of the most profound realizations was that not everyone is meant to stay in your life, no matter how long you've known them. On the flip side, there are those who unexpectedly come into your life and leave a lasting impact, and others you haven't even met yet who will eventually become significant.

I've come to understand the paramount importance of cherishing every moment with the people around us. We often take them for granted, oblivious to the fact that their presence may only be temporary. When we focus solely on the negatives, we inadvertently push away the good moments and the people who create them. Instead of being upset when someone is busy or not around, we should appreciate the time they do give us. It's easy to overlook the fleeting nature of these connections until it's too late.

Throughout my travels, I've learned how vital it is to hold onto the people meant to be in your life. Sometimes, we unknowingly push away those who could have brought us joy and support. It's a delicate balance—holding on without suffocating and being open without losing what matters most.

Life has a way of teaching us that nothing lasts forever and tomorrow is never guaranteed. I've learned to tell the people I love how much they mean to me because you never know when they might not be there anymore. This journey has shown me the fragility of life and the importance of appreciating the people who matter. Hold them close, but not too tight, for if you do, they may leave. Hold them too loosely, and someone else might take their place.

With that being said, I've learned to embrace each day with an open heart and an open mind. Whatever happens, whether good or bad, I strive to focus on what I can do to become a better version of myself the next day. Adopting this mindset helps me navigate life's uncertainties and remain committed to growth and self-improvement.

Until next time,

Blessed be
