Since my last update, a lot has unfolded in my life. I embarked on a journey that included marriage, divorce, my son's car accident, a new home, and grappling with personal injuries that have sidelined me from work. But let's rewind a bit for those who are new to my story, so nobody feels left in the dark.
In November, I tied the knot for the third time, only to find myself facing divorce as the new year dawned. By mid-April, the divorce was finalized, and shortly after, I settled into a new residence. Just when I thought I was gaining stability, a sudden onset of pain disrupted everything. It began innocuously with a stiff neck, but soon escalated into excruciating radiating pain down my arm and fingers, accompanied by numbness. I'm currently awaiting MRI results for clarity on this issue. Meanwhile, my son had a car accident recently, leaving his vehicle dented and him shaken. His reluctance to venture out suggests he's grappling with the aftermath. I'm hopeful that his upcoming graduation party will lift his spirits and reunite him with friends.
On the home front, unpacking boxes and settling in has been a relief, though Roller's room still awaits completion. The addition of a hot tub has been a saving grace for my shoulder pain. Embracing this fresh start post-divorce, I've indulged in purchases solely for myself without guilt. However, being out of work due to my injury has taken a toll, plunging me into a depressive state. Medical concerns aside, I've also experienced unexpected emotional blows. Two individuals, Robert and Kyle, whom I considered friends, suddenly vanished from my life without a trace. Their absence left me pondering various scenarios, highlighting the vulnerability of connections formed in today's world.
Despite these challenges, there have been silver linings. Embracing tattoos as a form of catharsis, I've embarked on a transformative journey of self-expression. And meeting my older brother and nieces for the first time brought immense joy and acceptance.
Amidst the turmoil, I've come to realize that each obstacle serves as a catalyst for self-discovery. As I navigate the uncertainties of life, I'm learning to embrace resilience and the power of forging my path forward, no matter how daunting the journey may seem.
Until next time,
Blessed Be,
Kandie
