Hey everyone,
I wanted to reach out and check in with all of you, to see how you're holding up during these uncertain times.
I also wanted to begin by saying, this is NOT an April Fools Joke!!
In the midst of this chaos, I count myself fortunate to have a safe haven to call home, a supportive fiancé by my side, my trusted best friend sharing the space, my youngest son close at hand, and the comforting presence of our four beloved puppies. Moreover, I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue working from home, ensuring the well-being of my family. Yet, I can't help but feel for those less fortunate, and I've been doing what I can to assist my aunt with essentials like food whenever she allows.
You'd think that being in lockdown would afford me ample time to focus on writing for my blog, but surprisingly, I've found myself busier than ever trying to organize my home. With seemingly endless hours stretching ahead, it's easy to get sidetracked and feel like there's never enough time. Nevertheless, I've managed to make some progress—carpets have been shampooed, laundry nearly caught up, and I'm sorting through belongings, deciding what to keep and what to part with as I prepare for my move to Florida in June.
I'm excited to announce that I've set up my room for online dancing and fitness sessions, which should be up and running by the weekend once my new bedding arrives. Dancing online not only allows me to connect with others, but also helps me stay active in the absence of gym access, and contributes to my family's financial stability. Plus, I'm eager to get back on the pole again, despite the occasional complaints about my achy back—it's a passion I can't resist.
But for now, it's back to packing, cleaning, and sorting through belongings. I hope you're all staying safe, practicing physical distancing, and doing your part to combat this pandemic. To those who have lost loved ones during this time, my heart goes out to you—I hope you find solace in the midst of this trying period.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. As my website's ten-year anniversary approaches, I have some exciting projects on the horizon, so make sure to register for an account and sign up for the newsletter to stay updated. Rest assured, I won't inundate your inbox with emails—I send them out sparingly, maybe once a month. I look forward to sharing the adventures ahead with all of you.
Until next time,
Blessed be.
Kandie
